My Hubby

On April 3rd, it was 9 years ago that I met Thomas for the first time. For those of you that don't know, Thomas and I met on via the internet. We only talked for two weeks before we met for the 1st time, a blind date to Azteca. I don't know if it was love at first sight but we had a very strong bond from the very beginning. In August we will celebrate 8 years of marriage and sometimes I can't believe all the amazing things we've done in those year. I love him so very much and thankful that God put him into my life. I love what we share together, the most importantly being our friendship....we can always make each other laugh. So, to my amazing husband, I love you very much and you are CSC.

God is amazing

So, it no great secret that we are having problems with Makenna. Well, the last few days have been really bad and today I've spend more time crying then working! So, I'm been on the phone most of the morning talking to the school, social worker and therapist. Finial I have a chance to sit and realized that I haven't even turned on my radio this morning. So, I turn in on and what is the first song I hear, "I will praise you in the storm" by Casting Crowns. God couldn't have given more a more perfect message at that moment. Below are the lyrics.....

I was sure by now
God you would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say “Amen”, and it’s still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper
through the rain
“I’m with you”

And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the
God who gives
And takes away

I’ll praise You in this storm
And I will life my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I’ve cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember whenI stumbled in the wind
You heard my cryYou raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on If I can’t find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear Your whisper
through the rain
“I’m with you”

And as You mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the
God who gives
And takes away

The snow has melted

I'm so excited because it now looks like the snow is behind us. Sunday we were able to take the kids to the park. Now keep in mind it was only 45 degrees outside but that's pretty warm for Minnesota. The kids ended up having to put on their jackets but they were all glad to get outside and enjoy the fresh air!

AARRGGGG.....

Have you ever had one of "those" morning. Well, today I had mine. I woke up late. Thomas needed a dress shirt and pants for a meeting which I had to iron. I had to wake up Makenna because Lord knows she won't wake herself up. I can't find a think in my house that needs to be clean. Get both boys up, dressed and out of the house by 6:20!!!! I was so overwhelmed and frustrated that I didn't even kiss my husband goodbye, I'm sure I'll hear about that later.
Welcome to my so called life.

I ROCK

This is an awful picture of myself but this is how I unwind at the end of the day. We got a Wii a few weeks ago and I'm totally not into video games but this is unlike anything I've ever played!! Guitar Hero is my favorite and I play almost everyday for about 30 minutes and I love it!!

Matthew

Well last week, our little Matt was really sick. On Easter Sunday he went to the ER and they said, he had an ear infection and a sore throat, his fever was 13.2. Gave us meds and sent us home. By Tuesday, he wasn't getting any better took him to one of the Doc at Eagan Valley and they said the same thing. By Thursday afternoon he was so bad, that Thomas and I ended up taking him to our Doctor and he took one look at Matt and ordered blood tests and a chest x-ray. Blood test came back normal, his x-ray showed a little stricking in the lungs but not too bad but he's temp was 103.7 and the Doc said to check with the Ped Doc but he recommended that they check him out at children's. Our Ped Doc, said the same thing, so off to Children's Hospital in St. Paul. He was so out of it by the time we got to the hospital, he didn't even cry when they put his IV in. Within 24 hours of having the IV, he was already better. They ran every test known to man (I can results back later today) and as of right now we know of 2 things; he has really bad acid reflux and was put on meds for that and Tom and I already can't believe what a difference this one little pill made!! Then the Pulmonary Doctor told us to win the lottery, buy a new house, get rid of our animals and get a nanny in order to keep Matthew health because he now has allergies. So, since we haven't won the lottery here is what we have done!! Air purifier in his room, no animals in his room, the house has to be vacuumed every day and try to keep things as clean as possible. When he's starts any kind of wheezing, give his a treatment right away. So, that's where we sit right now!!
But, he's home and he's healthy for the moments. So, that's great!!
